W. Brian Berlin – CRPS, CEA
W. Brian Berlin, CRPS, CEA obtained his B.A. from Colgate University, his M.A. from Bucknell University, and completed PhD. coursework while teaching at the University of Cincinnati. Brian joined BPS in 1998 and holds both Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist and Certified Estate Advisor designations. Prior to BPS, Brian designed and implemented web sites for the University of Cincinnati and consulted privately on Internet technology and security strategies for various private and government organizations.
Bradley A. Walker – CRPS
Bradley A. Walker, CRPS is a specialist in the design of all types of retirement plans, including plans for small businesses, non-profit organizations, and corporations. He has experience designing 401(k) plans, keoghs, profit sharing plans, as well as cross-tested and age-weighted plans. Prior to joining BPS in 1998, he consulted with Fortune 500 companies as a manager with employee benefits firm Hewitt Associates.
Robert L. Smallwood – CPA
Robert L. Smallwood, CPA received his B.S.B.A. in Accounting from John Carroll University in 1992. Bob has significant experience in the areas of accounting, tax and business planning for many clients ranging in size from small businesses to Fortune 100 companies while working with two prominent public accounting firms, the regional firm of Hill Barth and King LLC (Youngstown) and the national firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP (Cleveland). Bob joined BPS in 2004.
Mark J. Smallwood – CPA
Mark J. Smallwood, CPA grew up in Canfield, Ohio and graduated in 1998 from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Prior to joining Beard Pension Services in 2009, Mark worked in public accounting with Deloitte and Touche, LLP and KPMG, LLP in Cleveland, Ohio. Most recently Mark provided investment, insurance, and other comprehensive planning services to clients while working as an associate advisor for a financial planning firm in Northeast Ohio.
